Who are we
A non-profit organization serving Lanaudière
LAKAY (Chez Nous Média 2007) is located at 818 Notre-Dame Street, Suite 202, in Repentigny. We do not sell any products or services: all our activities are free and funded by public grants, donations, and the support of community partners.

Annual writing competition for secondary school students, with scholarships and an awards ceremony.
PIEJ: Youth Employment
Support for young people aged 16 to 30 towards employment in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick.
FAMILIES Project
Supporting families from cultural communities in interaction with youth protection services.
Eyes of Justice
Immersive virtual reality game to understand biases and develop empathy in the face of racial profiling.

Our mission
Defend and promote rights
LAKAY's mission is to defend and promote the rights and interests of members of cultural communities, particularly in the Lanaudière region, by raising their awareness of issues related to access to services, safety, socioeconomic conditions, and representation. The organization fosters inclusion, tolerance, sharing, and intercultural understanding through engaging activities and programs, while also educating citizens about their rights, obligations, and responsibilities.
