Black History Month 2024 in Lanaudière

Every February, LAKAY organizes a program dedicated to Black History Month in Lanaudière. The goal is to raise awareness of the contributions of Black communities to Quebec society, to create spaces for intercultural dialogue, and to bring together residents of the region through free and accessible activities.

The 2024 edition was structured around four key events: the launch of February, the awards ceremony for the writing competition My pen against racism and racial profiling, The event included a dinner for Black entrepreneurs from Lanaudière and a conference on Black history. The images below showcase each of these activities.
