Privacy Policy for Eyes of justice
Last updated: September 7, 2026
Welcome to Eyes of Justice!
This privacy policy explains how we handle your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy, and this policy is designed to be simple and transparent.
The Short Version
Eyes of Justice runs entirely on your Meta Quest headset. To work, the experience uses your headset's microphone and eye tracking sensor while you play. That information is processed on your device, in memory, only while the app is running — it is never saved, never sent to us or anyone else, and it is erased when you close the app. We operate no servers and hold no database about you.
1. Sensors the App Uses on Your Device
Microphone. Eyes of Justice places you in reenacted real-life situations in which you speak aloud to virtual characters, and the scene responds to what you say. The microphone is used for this purpose only, while the app is open. Your speech is processed in the headset's memory as it happens. No audio recording is created, stored, transmitted, or shared, and nothing is retained after the session ends.
Eye tracking. The core learning mechanic of Eyes of Justice is to show you where your own attention goes. The app measures which characters you look at and for how long, and uses those measurements to give you a debrief at the end of a scene so you can reflect on your own patterns of attention and implicit bias. This gaze data is processed in the headset's memory during the session only. It is never written to storage, never transmitted off the device, never used to identify you, and never used for advertising or profiling. It is erased when you close the app.
You can revoke the microphone and eye tracking permissions at any time in your Meta Quest system settings. Some parts of the experience will not function if you do.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal identifiers: your name, email address, Meta account ID, or any other unique identifier.
- Usage data: your play time, in-app actions, or preferences are not reported to us.
- Device information: details about your headset, its hardware, or its operating system.
- Location data: we do not access your physical or geographic location.
- Financial data: we process no payments and have no access to payment information.
- Biometric identification: the gaze and audio described in section 1 are never used to identify, authenticate, or profile you, and are never combined with any identifier.
- User-generated content: the app does not allow the creation or sharing of content that we could store.
3. Data Storage and Processing
All processing needed for the app to function — including the microphone and eye tracking uses described above, along with game state and save files — happens locally on your Meta Quest device. We operate no external servers, so no data is transmitted to us or to any third party.
4. Data Sharing
Because nothing leaves your device, we have nothing to share with any third party, including advertisers, analytics providers, or other companies.
5. Age Rating and Young Users
Eyes of Justice is rated for teens and adults (13+, or the applicable age in your region) and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no data from anyone and transmits nothing off the device, we hold no personal information about users of any age.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since we hold no personal data about you, these rights are inherently respected. If you have questions about how the app handles information on your device, contact us using the details below.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
If we ever update the app to collect or transmit data, we will update this privacy policy accordingly and seek your consent where required by law. The «Last updated» date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent change.
