Led by psychologist Michael OBAS ROMAIN, this meeting allowed around thirty participants to openly discuss the emotional challenges faced by Black parents in a context where racism and discrimination can weigh heavily on family well-being.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"1196\">Ms. OBAS ROMAIN emphasized the importance of recognizing stressors related to microaggressions, isolation, and often high cultural expectations. She proposed concrete strategies for cultivating personal balance and strengthening collective resilience: &quot;Giving yourself permission to slow down, talk, and support each other is already an act of healing,&quot; she reminded everyone.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1198\" data-end=\"1329\">The atmosphere of trust and solidarity left a lasting impression. As one of the participants, Mr. Jean-Philippe D., expressed it:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1330\" data-end=\"1548\">\n<p data-start=\"1332\" data-end=\"1548\">\u00ab&quot;This workshop opened my eyes. Sometimes, we carry the entire weight of the family without realizing it. I understood today that you have to take care of yourself first in order to be there for others.&quot;\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"1914\">In response to this enthusiasm, LAKAY is pleased to announce a new workshop on November 1, 2025, again led by Ms. Michael OBAS ROMAIN, this time aimed at young people from the Black community.
