This competition aims to encourage young people&#039;s artistic expression, raise awareness about the fight against racism and profiling, and promote cultural diversity. Lakay is proud to collaborate with schools in the Lanaudi\u00e8re region on this event.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Pierre Richard Thomas, president of the Lakay organization, states:<\/em> \u00abWe are delighted to launch the second edition of our \u2018My Pen Against Racism and Profiling\u2019 competition. It\u2019s an opportunity for young people to express themselves, share their thoughts on these important issues, and use their writing as an instrument for change.\u00bb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>C\u00e9line Bellot, director of the Profiling Observatory, adds:<\/em> \u00abRacial and ethnic profiling is a persistent problem in our society. This competition offers young people a platform to express their experiences and ideas on this issue and help us move towards a more just and equitable society.\u00bb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The competition is open to high school students in the Lanaudi\u00e8re region, who are invited to submit their entries by January 20, 2024. The entries can address a variety of topics related to racism, profiling, cultural diversity, and social inclusion.
