Without them, the Repentigny World Carnival, Black History Month, or the competition awards ceremony wouldn&#039;t happen. <em>My pen against racism<\/em> would not take place.<\/p>\n<p>LAKAY is a non-profit organization founded in 2007. All our activities are free for the public. Whether you have a few hours a year or a few hours a week, your help counts.<\/p>\n<h3>Where can you help?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Events<\/strong> : welcoming the public, logistics, setup and dismantling during the Carnival (more than 11,000 participants) and activities of Black History Month.<\/li>\n<li><strong>My Pen Against Racism Competition<\/strong> : support for the organization of the awards ceremony.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reception and support<\/strong> : support to the team at the Repentigny office.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communication<\/strong> : photography, video, social media, writing and translation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Administrative support<\/strong> : data entry, filing, preparing shipments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What you gain from it<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A hands-on experience in a committed community organization.<\/li>\n<li>Meetings with people from all backgrounds.<\/li>\n<li>A certificate of volunteering upon request (useful for school, college or a CV).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fill out the form below: a team member will contact you.
